Which bases are getting what aircraft?

The list is out.

Air Force Chief of Staff Gen. T. Michael Moseley has released the “roadmap” for the Air Force’s future, detailing which bases are in the running to house the service’s next-generation aircraft.

The outline of future forces is the result of meetings with top leaders from the regular Air Force, the Air National Guard and the Air Force Reserve in December, according to an Air Force press release.

The potential sites for each mission are:

Cannon, Duke Field, Patrick, Kirtland, Moody. No more, no less.

MQ-1 -
Do not expect Cannon to get (but will get the MQ-9)


CV-22 -
Add Kirtland, Elmendorf, Moody, Patrick
Keep Cannon

RQ-4 -
Beale only (with Osan as a tenant unit)

DCGS -
Add Offutt

KC-X -
Every gaddammed airport in the nation
